Camp Acworth, established in 1999, is now the name of our entire Summer Day Camp Program that provides a safe and active environment for children to enjoy their summer. Camp Acworth features two locations! Both Lake Acworth Adventure Camp and Overlook Adventure Camp will return this summer.
To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, extended hours will not be offered at either camp location. We ask that you please drop your child(ren) off no earlier than 7:45 a.m. and pick up no later than 5:30 p.m.
Week 1: June 1 – 4: HOLIDAY WEEK
Come dressed in your favorite costume for our costume contest on Thursday. We may be getting a visit from a jolly friend of ours on Friday!
Week 2: June 7 – 11: SPORTS WEEK
We will have Daneen England leading us in Pickleball lessons all week. Plus, we will be having some extra fun down at the lake on Friday as we play on the BLOB!
Week 3: June 14 – 18: DISNEY
We will be having a magic show during Disney week and will be ending our week with a special Movie Day in our Tanyard Creek Overlook Special Events space!
Week 4: June 21 – 25: NINJA WEEK
Master Beverly Busker will be introducing Camp Acworth to martial arts. Then we will have some more fun down at the lake on Friday as we play on the BLOB!
Week 5: June 28 – July 2: HEROES WEEK
We will be visited by some real-life heroes and will be ending our week with a special Movie Day in our Tanyard Creek Overlook Special Events space!
JULY 5-9 NO CAMP!
Week 6: July 12 – 16: NATURE WEEK
We will be visited by some furry friends this week. Then we will be ending our week down at the lake on Friday at the BLOB!
Week 7: July 19 – 23: SPIRIT WEEK
This week we will have different themed days like pajama day and crazy hair day. On Friday, we will have waterslides to help cool us off!
Week 8: July 26 – 30: TALENT WEEK
Whew! We made it to the end of summer! We will be having a magic show on Wednesday, a Camp Show Case on Thursday, and a carnival on Friday!
Overlook Adventure Camp
Overlook Adventure Camp is a new summer camp being held at the brand new Acworth Community Center located in Logan Farm Park. Camp activities at Overlook Adventure Camp include team sports, gymnasium activities, arts and crafts, educational speakers, hiking, weekly field trips, and more!

* Children attending 1st - 8th grade in upcoming school year.
Camp consists of eight, one week sessions beginning
June 1 and concluding on July 30.
Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Lunches are not provided. All campers will need to bring their own lunches each day of camp. Parents will be notified in advance which days per week their camper needs to bring their swimsuit, towel and sunscreen.
Registration and Fees:
Fees: City of Acworth Residents: $115.00 per week
Non-City of Acworth Residents: $140.00 per week
**Deposits are non-refundable/non-transferable.
Camp registration is not restricted to one location. Parents are encouraged to register their child for different weeks at each location if campers are interested in a variety of summer camp activities! Please make sure to be careful during registration so campers are not accidentally registered for the same week at different locations. Deposits are non-refundable/non-transferable.
A $25.00 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit will be due at registration for each week that you would like to reserve a spot for your child. An additional $25.00 fee/week will also be due at registration for non-residents. Deposits and fees are included in the weekly registration cost. Remaining camp balances can be paid immediately upon registration or on the first day of each week your child has reserved.

Camp Acworth is excited to introduce our updated CIT Program. The Camp Acworth CIT program is designed for rising sophomores and rising juniors, typically 15-16 year old. The transition from camper to CIT creates an opportunity to develop and nourish leadership, communication, and learning skills needed when working with children in a camp setting. The goal is to create responsible leaders who can not only contribute positively to Camp Acworth but also to their schools and community. With updates to our program, please read the eligibility requirements below.
Eligibility Requirements Are:-CIT position is open to 15-16 year olds. Must be turning 15 years old on or before the first day of camp (June 1, 2021).
