A ceremony to honor those who have given their lives in service to our country will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Cauble Park at Patriots Point. Veterans and current servicemen will pay tribute to brave men and women who have fought and died for our nation. Engraved pavers dedicated to those who have served in our armed forces that have been purchased since the previous Veterans Day will be presented at the event.

Daddy Daughter Date Night
Daddy Daughter Date Night will come back to Tanyard Creek Overlook in June 10, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We had a great time in 2022 and we're already looking forward to this year's event! This special event is the perfect night out for girls up to 14 years of age and their dad or adult male chaperone. Attendees will create precious memories as we enjoy an elegant dinner and some evening entertainment.
Join us on Saturday, June 17, 2023 for Concert on the Green: A Juneteenth Celebration. This concert is held in observance of June 19, 1865, when the last African American slaves held in Confederate states were finally freed by the Union army.
The City of Acworth invites the whole community to bring blankets and folding chairs and join this celebration of freedom and respect for all cultures.

July 4th Concert and Fireworks
Let freedom ring! The City of Acworth and the Acworth Business Association are proud to present one of the largest fireworks extravaganzas in Metro Atlanta.
Each year on July 4th, live music and fireworks take place at Cauble Park. Live music will start at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. (subject to change depending on weather).
If you do not have a parking pass or if the parking is full, you will need to park downtown and walk down to the park. Shuttles will not be running for this event. Handicap parking will be available at McCall Primary School and there will be a shuttle provided for handicap attendees. Handicap shuttles begin at noon.
Summer Downtown Classic Car Cruise
Acworth will host a summer Classic Car Cruise in Downtown Acworth July 29, 2023. The event will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Logan Farm Park (4405 Cherokee Street). The Lake City Cruisers partner with the City and the downtown Acworth merchants to hold these Classic Car Cruises.
The event is free to the public. A $5 entry fee is requested for all vehicles in the cruise. All proceeds go to the Horizon Field, an all-inclusive special needs sports facility in Acworth.

Pizza, Pints & Pigskins
Pizza, Pizza everywhere!! Pizza, Pints & Pigskins will return September 2023! Pizzerias from all over Cobb County will converge on Logan Farm Park for food, fun, and games. Each restaurant will serve their best pizza dish along with other yummy fares. Bring the whole family to eat, play in our huge Kid’s Zone, listen to your favorite music, grab a cold beverage from the beer garden, relax and have fun! Help us judge the best pizza, most creative, and a myriad of other pizza contests.
People’s Choice Award goes to… come help us decide! Can you think of a better way to spend a Saturday with the family besides tasting each pizzeria’s best and deciding who will take home the trophy? There will also be a Judge’s Choice and Most Creative.
At Pizza, Pints & Pigskins, games will be televised, ice-cold beer will be served in the Beer Garden, and the kid zone will be packed full of obstacle courses, bungee jumps, and more! The night will end with a concert from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tables reservations will be available for the concert.

Mother-Son Camp Out
The Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department is excited to host the Mother-Son Camp Out at Proctor Landing Park again in September of 2023. This event is open to mothers and their sons, 13 and under. Participants will camp alongside the beautiful Lake Allatoona while learning about camping etiquette, campfire building, knot tying and a variety of other outdoor activities! There will be outdoor education for the next generation!

The 2023 Save Acworth History Cars on the Lake Classic Car and Bike Show held at Dallas Landing Park will return in September of 2023. Admission is Free.

Great Lake Allatoona Clean Up
Volunteers come out each year to help remove litter and debris from the shores of the lake. The next clean up will take place in fall of 2023. The event is sponsored by the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department, the Acworth Lake Authority, and the Lake Allatoona Preservation Authority. This is a great project for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, community groups and anyone who wants to help keep Lake Acworth clean.

The Taste of Acworth will take place again on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Thanks to all who came out and made this such a great event for 2022!
The City of Acworth partners with the Acworth Business Association and JRM Management to host this event on Main Street in Downtown Acworth. This event benefits numerous local schools and charities in our community. Approximately 18,000 visitors taste their way through this collection of delicacies every year and it is expected to evolve tremendously! There are over 120 booths from local restaurants and businesses, plus two live entertainment stages!

Acworth Craft Beer & Wine Fest
The City of Acworth partners with Atlanta Beer Festivals each year to bring you this annual event! The next Acworth Craft Beer & Wine Festival will take place at Logan Farm Park on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Participants will come out and enjoy over 100 craft beers, live music, great food, wine, and TONS of fun! This event is for people 21 and older, no kids or pets will be allowed. Registration is required for this event and limited tickets are available. Registration will include event entry, a souvenir cup, all beer samples, and entertainment.
The City of Acworth is proud to say thank you to those who have faithfully served their country, as well as those who are now serving. Acworth is honored to have these brave men and women living in our community and what better way to honor them than to host a Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial at Cauble Park.
If you have not seen the Veterans Memorial at Patriot's Point at Cauble Park, make sure you take an opportunity to stop by. The service flags of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard surround the American Flag. The concrete dome structure is surrounded by a paver walkway with engraved pavers.
You can honor a veteran by purchasing pavers. The pavers are available in 4x4 or 8x8 sizes. With the 4x4, you get 3 lines, each with up to 18 characters engraved on the pavers. The 8x8 comes with 4 lines, each with up to 18 characters engraved on it.

The City of Acworth, along with their partner NorthStar Church is excited to host this year's Santa’s Arrival! Santa arrives in Historic Downtown Acworth on Center Street on Friday, December 1, 2023. Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m. There will be a host of live performances and activities until 8:30 p.m. to help Santa kickoff the holiday season. Bring the entire family to hear Mayor Tommy Allegood read The Night Before Christmas and watch the lighting of the tree on the Plaza behind Henry's. Enjoy pictures with Mr. Claus, eating candy canes with all his elves, and filling the streets with the holiday spirit. Pictures with Santa are free each year and begin at 6:45 p.m. There will not be a photographer onsite, so please plan on bringing your camera to capture the special moment.

Breakfast with the Grinch
He's been on the naughty list but he's trying to be nice. The Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department is excited to host Breakfast with the Grinch at the Acworth Community Center again in December 2023. Enjoy breakfast while the Grinch visits with each table for photo opportunities and to share Christmas wishes. After breakfast, the Grinch will join us as we create Grinch themed ornaments and crafts. Space is limited and you must register each person attending or reserve a table for the whole family!
Menorah Lighting Ceremony
The City of Acworth will hold its annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony again in December 2023. The eight day Jewish holiday commemorates the Jewish Maccabees' military victory over Syrian-Greek oppression more than 2,000 years ago. During Chanukah, Jews across the world celebrate the miracle of light that burnt for eight days out of a single-days-worth of oil found in the Temple. One Chanukah candle is lit the first night, and an additional candle is lit each successive night. The holiday is a celebration of religious freedom and hope.

Acworth Christmas Golf Cart Parade
UPDATE 12/13: Due to weather, the Acworth Christmas Golf Cart Parade will now be held Wednesday, December 21. It will leave Cauble Park at 6:00 p.m.
Coming December 2023: Join Acworth for its second annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade! Participation is free, but registration is required to join the parade line-up. It's time to bust out the garland, lights, and tinsel to make your golf cart as festive as it can get. The parade has fantastic downtown route zooming through neighborhoods to spread holiday cheer! Tell your friends and neighbors to line the streets. This year is an evening event and will begin at 6:00 p.m., so make sure to grab some solar powered string lights and make it merry!

Martin Luther King Day of Service
The Acworth MLK Celebration and Day of Service will be held Monday, January 15, 2024. The community is welcome to join us for a light welcome breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Roberts School Community and Education Center. Following the welcome breakfast, the Unity Walk will begin at 9:15 a.m. and leave from the Roberts School and finish at the Acworth Community Center. Our program honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Tanyard Creek Overlook of the Acworth Community Center. After the program concludes, we will begin our service project helping an organization in our community. MLK Day of Service merchandise will be for sale at the Acworth Community Center leading up to and on the day of the event. All proceeds will go towards the Acworth Expanding Horizons and Acworth Achievers programs. The Special Olympics Polar Plunge, hosted by the Law Enforcement Torch Run For Georgia, will take place again at Acworth Beach at Cauble Park will return in 2024.
The purpose behind the Polar Plunge is to support and spread awareness for the 27,115 Special Olympics Georgia athletes. The Polar Plunge is the largest fundraising effort benefiting Special Olympics. Many states across the nation participate in this annual event through the efforts of their Law Enforcement Torch Run program. The Polar Plunge is an official Law Enforcement Torch Run event.
Anyone with a little guts and a warm heart wanting to support the athletes of Special Olympics Georgia is welcome to participate! Participants collect pledges from friends and family in exchange for the opportunity to jump into icy waters in the middle of winter. All proceeds collected by “plungers” will benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Georgia. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including best costume, highest individual fundraiser, highest team fundraiser, and many more.
The Acworth Egg Hunt is back Spring 2024! Come watch the bunny make his exciting arrival at the Acworth Sports Complex! The City of Acworth and Freedom Church invite your family to participate in the return of the Acworth Egg Hunt! The event will take place at the Acworth Sports Complex (4000 South Main St.) on the baseball fields. Egg hunts are timed, and gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Join Acworth as we celebrate with games, crafts, and grand entrance by the Easter Bunny!

The Acworth Art Fest returns April 2024!
The historic district on Main Street in downtown Acworth provides a delightful backdrop for 100 whimsical and talented artisans from around the country. Their creative booth displays decorate our charming streets with paintings, pottery, metalwork, folk art, glass, jewelry, yard art, and much more!
At the Acworth Art Fest, the always energetic Kidz Zone is filled with fun activities that make smiles bloom. This vibrant playland is an exhilarating place to be for young people and their happy parents. Of course, there is wonderful food from Acworth’s own eateries, and shoppers will also find delectable treats in the food court to satisfy their taste buds.
The City’s art scene is growing, downtown shops and galleries are hopping, and the Acworth Art Fest is the sweet cherry on top of our delicious and enchanting community!
Live at Logan Farm Park returns this year Saturday, April 22, 2023. The Acworth Arts Alliance will be partnering with the City of Acworth to bring you Live at Logan Farm Park featuring a free concert.
Live at Logan Farm Park is the annual Acworth Arts Alliance and the Acworth Art House fundraiser. Event proceeds from sponsor tables support the Acworth Arts Alliance, specifically to fund a scholarship for students pursuing a degree in art as well as to fund arts initiatives in underfunded programs and among the underserved in our community. The concert is free and open to the public!

Acworth Dragon Boat Festival
The Acworth Dragon Boat Festival will take place the first Saturday in may to support Loving Arms Cancer Outreach. Dragon Boating is an up-and-coming sport, soon to be an Olympic sport. Many communities hold dragon boat races as a different means to benefit charitable organizations within the community.
These festivals are fun-filled days for all ages featuring corporate and community teams racing in 46-foot long ornamental dragon boats. Race day combines various cultural activities with food and fun for spectators and participants. People love the thrill, the teamwork, the adrenaline, and positive interaction in the boat. People who never thought of themselves as athletes can thrive in a dragon boat and discover a challenging alternative to other sports, which is why this is currently the fastest-growing water sport!
The North Cobb Rotary Club, City of Acworth, and the Georgia Barbecue Association partner each year to bring you the Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival. This event will be held May 2024 at Logan Farm Park. All proceeds from this event are distributed amongst several local charities, so everyone come out and help make a difference in your community!
This two-day event features a Friday night concert under the stars and a BBQ competition on Saturday! Teams from all over the Southeast compete in professional and amateur divisions to see who will take home the title. For a small fee, you can taste your way through some of the best BBQ in the Southeast!
