Mayor Tommy presented a proclamation in recognition of the new Liberty Hill Chapter, National Society Daughter of the American Revolution (NSDAR) at the January 18 Regular Meeting. Members present included Chapter Regent Patricia Hein, Chapter Parliamentarian Beverly Baker, Chapter Registrar Bonnie Baker, Chapter Librarian Beth Holt, and soon to be member Pamela Mele. The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a lineage-based membership service organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the United States' efforts towards independence. The non-profit group works to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
