On January 25 the City of Acworth had a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Acworth Community Center beside Logan Farm Park. The Acworth Community Center will feature a large gymnasium with a raised walking track, banquet hall, classroom, group exercise space and offices. The facility will offer programming and activities for all ages, from children to senior citizens. The banquet room will be available to rent for large events and can be subdivided into smaller meeting spaces. The facility is scheduled to open in Spring of 2019. This is a jointly funded Special Local Options Sales Tax (SPLOST) project between Cobb County and the City of Acworth.
