The North Cobb Rotary Club, City of Acworth, and the Georgia Barbecue Association partner each year to host the Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival presented by Superior Plumbing, held at Cauble Park. The event will take place on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12. All proceeds are distributed amongst several local charities, so come out and help make a difference in your community!
Handicap parking will be available at the park. All other parking can be found throughout our historic downtown in our many public lots. Shuttles will be departing from City Hall, the Post Office, and the Acworth Presbyterian Church.
Friday night will feature a concert under the stars with music provided by Georgia Players Guild, covering hits from "Alabama" and "The Eagles". Table reservations are available and will include 6 chairs. Friday night will also include the infamous Lord of the Wings contest. For a small fee, you can be the judge for best wings and get a taste of what different vendors have to offer. Saturday boasts some of the best BBQ around! Teams from all over the Southeast will compete in professional and amateur divisions to see who will take home the title for 2018.
