Mayor Tommy presented the annual United States Coast Guard Day Proclamation to Chuck Polk, who faithfully served 42 years and has since retired in Acworth for the past 13 years. United States Coast Guard Day is being recognized in the City of Acworth on August 4, 2018 to honor and celebrate the 228 year history and legacy as the Nation's oldest and premier maritime agency, as well as to reflect upon its many legendary heroes and their patriotic missions.
