Chief Wayne Dennard and staff from the Acworth Police Department, along with Parks and Recreation Special Events Coordinator Lauren Ham presented a check in the amount of $26,532 from this year's 9th Annual Covering the Bases and 7th Annual Shoot for the Horizon events. Proceeds will benefit the Horizon Field. Captain Cheatham recognized and awarded Corporal Youlanda Leverette, Parks and Recreation Special Events Coordinator Lauren Ham, Lieutenant Mike Taylor and the Chattahoochee Tech Public Safety Group, that raised $1300 from concessions, with a plaque commending their participation with the events. Chief Dennard commended the Allatoona NJROTC for their commencement and participation with the annual kick ball tournament.
