Lisa Gachie presented artwork titled "Black is Beautiful." Sam Okafor, George Njuguna, Baracka Magera and David Kiarie read excerpts from "Martin Luther King Jr. Mourns Trayvon Martin." Tai Echols read a poem titled "The Pain We Feel." Shallon Ngugi read a poem she wrote titled "The Moment is Now." Mumbi Nganga read an essay titled "A Psalm for Emmett Till."
