Proclamation in Recognition of Constitution Week, September 17 - 23, 2022
Mayor Tommy presented the annual proclamation for Constitution Week to members of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Recipients present included, Melinda Allen (Chapter Regent), Patricia Hein, Jane Bentley, Betty Westbrook, Barbara Benson, Beverly Baker, and Darla Valentini. Constitution Week is being recognized in the City of Acworth, September 17 - 23, which this year commemorates the 235th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America. Citizens are urged to reaffirm the ideals that the Framers of the Constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to our country through this guardian of our liberties, and remembering that lost rights may never be regained.
